Director of Administration and Finance
Directorate of administration and finance unit at Nyanza Hospital is responsible for planning, Directing, Coordinating and Supervising financial and administrative activities of hospital by Monitoring expenses and suggesting cost-effective solutions, Creating annual budgets, Reviewing monthly and annual Financial reports.

- Ensure proper management of the hospital resources;
- Ensure compliance with effective administrative strategies to lead employees;
- Ensure compliance with hospital administrative manual and quality plan;
- Ensure collaboration with human resource officer to manage employees;
- Collaborate with all accountants and cashiers to meet financial policies;
- Collaborate with hospital director general to set conclusions and decisions;
- Operate in accordance with existing strategic plan;
- Provide technical and administrative intervention as required;
- Ensure communication of national laws, regulations and ministerial instructions are communicated to staff;
- Consolidate and review the overall annual budget and outturn submissions and related reporting to the supervisor;
- Ensure financial reports are regularly reported to MINICOFIN;
- Provide accounting analysis sufficient for budget management to make informed decisions with an emphasis on forward –looking budget analysis and risk manage
- Plan the cash flow sufficiently to ensure adequate cover for all commitments whilst minimizing the potential loss to the institution;
- Ensure efficient use of resources is respected;
- Ensure the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of all financial reports for both internal and external purposes;
- Lead assistance given to internal and external auditors as required;
- Ensure proper implementation of recommendations made by auditors;
- Ensure collaboration with health insurances companies to pay relevant bills
- Oversee those payments of suppliers are made according to the contracts/agreements;
- Ensure that committed grants income is received from donors;
- Contribute to the hospital environmental hygiene;
- Ensure maintenance of equipment and infrastructure is appropriately done;
- Submit monthly, quarterly and annually report to the supervisor;
- To be responsible of patient and staff quality and safety;
Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior.
Reporting:
The Director of Administration and Finance reports to the Director General of Hospital.
