Nutrition

Nutrition is one of our paramedical department that mainly focuses on the application of foods and nutrition to promote health and diseases treatment. The department deals with the consultation and adoption of diet, the supervision of recommended diets to patients, control of the restaurant’s culinary activities, as well as assessing the nutritional statuses of patients

Services within the department include the Description of methods of screening malnutrition, Identification of nutrition evaluation, Differentiating between basic modified diets and explain the indications for each (sodium, diabetic, renal, and different dietary consistencies), Explaining the indications and contraindications for enteral nutrition, Description of the indications for parenteral nutrition, Description of potential complications associated with enteral and parenteral nutrition, as well as Explaining risk factors for the re‐feeding syndrome.
